Hi All,
Just got my FreeAgent 1TB drive last week and done a few backups on it so far, but now (as of last night) I am getting some files that are being flagged with an Error (2013) in the Backup Log.
I have had a look for this Error Code but no luck, so can someone let me know what the heck this means, and why these files didn't get flagged up before with it?
They are NOT read only in the source, as I have checked that.
Any ideas welcomed!
TIA,
John

Microsoft KB list this as a disk near capacity if it is coming from Windows.

I have been getting the same error for a while now. It isn't the drive nearing capacity.
My C: drive is 232GB with 109GB free
My Seagate freeagent is 1TB with 571GB free
This is my error below (I've removed the filenames for privacy):
Backing up to E: ...
ERROR >>> C:\Documents and Settings\<filename> Error (2013)
ERROR >>> C:\Documents and Settings\<another filename> Error (2013)
When I rename the file the backup is successful. i.e. filename renamed to filename.old. Backup successfully backs up filename.old
When I put the original filename back the backup fails again. These files are MS Money backup files so the extension is .mbf
The backup of these files has worked in the past.
Very weird. At least with the latest seagate update we can see an error code now.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Same here - got new Freeagebt Desk - the first couple of backups were OK, now each one fails with almost all the files showing "error 2013"
I have emailed Seagate support almost a week ago - no response....

Well, I show you escalated your case on 26Nov, and today's the 30th. This weekend was the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA. Please be patient and I'm sure you'll get an answer. Please also return and post Support's answer when you receive it. Thanks!

I am getting this error suddenly for the Seagate Manager files in Program Files. Is this a problem with a Seagate Manager update? I've been using Seagate Manager for less than a week for backups. I didn't get this error until about the 6th or 7th backup.

I just started getting this same error 2013 yesterday. I've been bakcing up for a few weeks prior to this without any trouble. The files getting this error are my QuickBooks Company database files as well as a couple other files. My main concern is the QuickBooks files because these need to be backed up.
Any insight into this 2013 error would be greatly appreciated. I don't understand why things were going along fine and now there's suddenly this error. Very frustrating!
Thanks.

I don't think this is the solution. The files that fail to be backed up are MS Money backup files, not the normal files that would be used.
I checked the processes to see if I had any MS Money processes running in the background, but I couldn't see any.
Like the other posters above, this used to work ok, but now it doesn't.
The files are read only but that is normal for this type of file.
I think we have a more generic problem. I am sure not everyone's file backup problems are caused by MS Money or Quicken files.
Any other ideas?

I don't think this solution applies to the the error 2013 I am having. First, these are QuickBooks files, not Quicken files, and they have nothing to do with BillMinder. The extension on these files is .qbw and they are the company database files.
Also, the files were previously backed up without any errors for the last month or so and the error 2013 just started two days ago. Why would files that previously backed up without error suddenly cause an error?
