FreeAgent 3.0 Interface Adapter no faster than 2.0

I have just received my 3.0 interface for a 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desk and tried copying from a GoFlex Desk 3TB (not FreeAgent).  The speed was no faster than when it was 2.0. 

 

I copied from a 3.0 GoFlex Desk to a 3.0 GoFlex Desk (no adapter needed) yesterday so I know it SHOULD be faster and my card in the PC IS 3.0.

 

Is there something I need to do or did I just waste my money in the upgrade?  Please help.

Make sure your USB3 controller drivers are up-to-date. We have some good info listed in this article right here about that very same subject:
