FreeAgent Desk convert to internal?

I've lost the power supply that goes with my FreeAgent Desk 500GB external drive. While I think I can find a 12V, 2A supply lying around, I would love to put this inside of my tower. Worst case, I can utilize the USB interface with an internal USB port on an extension slot. How could I connect this drive to my tower's power supply? PS: I'm technically savvy, and a warranty voider.... I've already wiped the software preinstalled and opened the case. Soldering-involved solutions are even a viable route...

open up your tower and see if you have a connecter that matches the drive. If the drive is Sata on the computer is new your set. If you want to use the case you could do some research and get and wire and power plug and make an connection to an internal 4 pin molex plug. I've never seen a USB plug internally so you will need to route a cable out of the pc (power or USB). I'm sure you know your warranty will be void. Check Ebay for a power supply.
