I recently bought a 1TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk for Mac to use with Time machine. It is partitioned in 2, one for Time Machine, one for storage.
It wakes every 10 minutes or less and I can't find a reason for it. It is not backing up with Time Machine, spotlight doesn't appear to be indexing it.
I downloaded an app called 'Spotless' which is supposed to disable Spotlight from accessing the drive, that didn't work. I have also added both partitions to the privacy list in Spotlight prefs.
Can't figure out why this is happening with no visible access to the drive. Any help appreciated!
