So, I purchased a 500GB Seagate Freeagent GoFlex external harddrive today. The thing is, I don't want to back up my ENTIRE computer, but rather, drag and drop and use it more as a flash-drive, since I'll be connecting it to my TV and whatnot..
I've installed the Seagate dashboard and everything (just in case), but there is files that came already on the Harddrive itself:
USB Seagate 3.0 Adapter
Can I just delete these files then drag & drop whatever I want onto my HD? Or do I leave them there.. Or at the very least can I put them in 1 folder together so they're not just thrown there?

You can drag and drop what you want, or you should be able to tell the drive what to backup in Dashboard, i.e select floders to back up, hth.

I also have a GoFlex. I am planning on using the manual backup method. I ran a test on some files.. The first one I did with the drive pluged in to one USB E connection. The second into a different USB F. I can't locate the one in E in F and vice versa.
What I am doing wrong?
