I recently purchased a ST310005FDA2E1-RK and use it with my Macbook Pro. I have noticed that the harddrive never spins down, even after extended periods of time where it is not used. In addition, If i eject (right click and eject mounted drive) but leave it plugged in, the drive will power off for maybe 30-90 seconds but will power back up again afterthat. The drive does not remount after powering back up.
I have the "put the hard disks to sleep when possible" option checked in energy saver.
What else should I do?
