FreeAgentn Desktop USB 500GB [ It fell and it stopped connecting to my computer]

500 GB Free Agent Desktop USB
So i kind of knocked it over and it fell ( the distance from the floor is like less than 20 CM ) and it stopped connecting to my computer... now when i turn it on (w/ USB cord connected) it has this beep-ish sound and it sounds like its handing trouble... should i just take it to Geek squad?? i reallly want to keep some of the files in there... :smileysad: Please Help

Exact same thing happened to me! Except mine only fell 2 inches!

Any solution at all / input from seagate?

The forum is not a replacement for Customer Service. Seagate representative do from time to time come to lend a hand answering posts but not necessarily on a continual or frequent basis. If you have immediate needs, your best bet is to contact Customer Service directly whether by phone, email, or chat.

You took the time to read my response but didnt come up with any helpful suggestions, only information about the forums?

Last time i buy a seagate.
