Is there a Linux user in the forums?

I can't imagine that at a minimum Linux wouldn't recognize the drive ( any one of them that is Windows compatible anyway) as an added hard drive, so one should be able to do the old drag n drop routine. :smileywink:  I had hoped someone could give me some good intel on programs to use for semi automated backups .

I know I can go  *virtual* and just have a windows version running the software in a little window on the DT. Tho that seems like a bigger hassle than just using a drag n drop approach.

Re: Is there a Linux user in the forums?

Linux: Ubuntu 8.10 - FreeAgent USB connected - Nautilus file browser - drag n drop works fine.

The FreeAgent is used with a dual boot setup (Vista & Linux).

New to Linux and have not looked into backups but there a probably more varieties to choose from than I can understand.

Note on prior post: file system on the FreeAgent is NTFS.
