Large Backup - Manager keeps stopping sporadically

I'm uisng a FreeeAgent 1.5 tb to backup a large job. Probably 700 to 900 gb mostly videos & photos. I let Seagate Manager run, but it keeps stopping sporadically. It will run a few hours & then quit for some reason. My PC is set to NOT sleep. It's going to take week to get the initial backup done at this rate. Any ideas what would be making it stop?

 

I'm running W7 64bit with Seagate Manager  2.1.600

I am having a similar problem.  The backup runs for a while, then asks me to select the drive and backup icon again to continue.  Most files are music and photo.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
