After about a month of use, up until yesterday I was satisfied with this drive, however, after transferring a large amount of data from Windows to the drive, the drive now shows as read only in OSX. (PN:9ZF2A5-500 1TB). The included diagnostic software does not show the drive at all. (Seagate Drive Settings: "No drives have been found.." and Paragon NTFS does not show the drive as well. OSX disk Utility sees the drive, but does not give the option to verify
permissions, and will return an error when any other test is run.)
To be honest I don't know if the programs ever did see the drive. After I did the initial set up and the drive was working, I didn't check with the supplied programs.
I was able to copy back and forth from windows and MacOS with no trouble until the large data transfer.
I have reinstalled the supplied programs from the drive (I can read from it quite well, just can't write to it.) several times, rebooted, tried different USB ports, etc.
As I am on the road, this drive is our lifeline from my Windows based office and my Mac notebook that I use on the road.
Backing up and reformating is not an option as I do not have anything to back up to as the data is now over 500GB on the drive. (90% images)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
