Minor Issue

[ Edited ]

Hello everyone.
I have a small problem.
I can't access my Seagate FreeAgent Desk, but it does come up in my computer in a strange way.

My Computer shows
my internal C and D partitions with their names and bars showing used space to free space.
When I connect my Seagate FreeAgent Desk, something shows up, but not what I not.
It shows only a E drive called "Local Disk (E: )"
(instead of the name I gave it  "SEAGATE (E: )")
and NO bar showing used space to free space.

Whenever I immediately unplug the USB, either the E: drive will disappear or

Windows will show one of two popups.

One popup may say
"E:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect."
 What parameter?

Another may say
"You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it"

I do not want formatting to erase my data, but it will not let me do it any way because it only shows when I remove USB.

Command Prompt with Check Disk shows:

C:\windows\system32>chkdsk E:/f
The type of the file system is RAW.
CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives.

How do I make it un-RAW without damaging data?

I have tried ZAR 9.1 and EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard, but they both freeze and end up

  Not Responding

:smileysad:

Disk Management shows "Connecting to Virtual Disk Service..."
for as long as USB is connected. When unplugged the Disk Management immediately shows the other drives as it normally should.

So a slight problem here.

Device Manager works fine and shows

Disk drives
|
|-- Seagate FreeAgent USB Device

Universal Serial Bus controllers
|
|-- Generic USB Hub
.
.
.
|-- USB Mass Storage
.
.
.
|-- USB Root Hub

So no problem here.

I don't know. I think it is not a huge problem, but some formatting error maybe?

Thank you all.
