I have bought a seagate freeagent 1 TB drive recently. It is working OK except that it slows the system
considerably. After few minutes of using connecting and using the drive, the computer become very slow and
doesn't respond as usual and even with the lightest games and applications it doesn't become smooth. Even if
if disconnect the drive the problem doesn't go. Everytime I use the driver I have to reset the system to clear the
problem and restore the system speed.
I am using windows xp sp3 on a core 2 duo 3ghz system. RAM is 2 GB and I have 2 internal harddisks: 300 GB
and 500 GB. PowerSupply is more than enough (CoolMax 600 Watts). VGA is Sapphire Ati 4830.
