NTFS FORMATTED PARTITION - don't have one, need one Seagate FreeAgent Go 500GB

Message: Make sure your external drive has an NTFS-formatted partition. For more information, check the Knowledge Base in the Support section of the Seagate website at www.seagate.com

I'm trying to use a Seagate FreeAgent Go 500GB, it's formatted (blank) and ready to go except I keep getting this message and I don't know how to create this partition, help!

Yes it isn't a very helpful message.

Search of Seagate knowledge base gives the folllowing

http://knowledge.seagate.com/pkb_Home?q=Make%20sure%20your%20external%20drive%20has%20an%20NTFS-form...

Where & when is this message coming up? Is this in Mac OS X? Seagate drives are generally pre-formatted to NTFS so if there isn't an NTFS partition maybe it has been re-formatted with another file system

Partition creation is done with Diskwizard mate, if you mean like a HDD with an O/S i.e 100mb and the rest of the drive as the rest of the drive there is no need, these work the same as a memory stick.
