My teenage son says its time I learn how to do some things on my own . LOL teenagers????? I'm not computer illiterate but I have tried numerous things to get it to download to my new desktop. I have two desktops on my computer. One I don't use as much because it is slow because it is full with a lot of stuff. My newer one is where most of my music is that I need to backup.
I have installed Mimeo on the old desktop and tried to install on the new desktop but a message still comes up saying a new version is installed on your computer. I have tried this several times. I need to back up everything on my new desktop on the "dummy drive".
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

If it is saying you have a newer version installed to the computer, you might already have it installed and done the updates to the software.
Check your control panel for the Memeo software and see if you have it installed. If you do, open the program and use it ![]()
And teenagers are funny, but sometimes they can show you how to do stuff on the computer...if they are too impatient with showing you how to do this stuff, then you might consider courses at a local community college or something...they can teach you the basics on a computer and you don't have to deal with trying to learn from a teen who wants to do other stuff lol ![]()

Well, who knows, now it is showing up there and opened. I had checked the control panel before and it was there but it wouldn't open. Now it opened. who knows?? I have done a lot with our computer I think. We had an awful Dell that crashed about 3 times so I went throught that with their tech people. The Dell is gone thank goodness and we have good security as far as we can tell. So I just have to learn my way around this Memeo stuff.
I do see that Memeo is automatically backing up itself to somewhere else. I don't know where. But I know that is a good thing.
Thanks for that reminder and your quick response.
