I have a Maxtor OneTouch™ III Turbo Edition and my MacBook does not recognize the drive.It's volume from mac os changed to Ms dos.

When I try to Repair my disk it gives this error

1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? I need all my data please tell me what should I do.

Check the Apple forums.  You might look at a program called Disk Warrior. The MAC forum should be more help.

also are you concerned about your data?  if not, just try erasing it and see what happens, use extended (journaled)
