I need a password protect for an external free agent hard drive. I have three of them but cannot use a encryption. I just need a password protection cause they stay on my desk and at the moment anybody can access.
Can you help me?

Are you saying that you can't use the encryption feature that is on the Seagate Manager?
If not, why not? Is the Security tab not present, or is it unavailable or something?

I have the same problem. I have 4 partition of my 500GB external harddisk. I want to password protect two of them. The free agent does provide an encryption folder but i dont need to protect a folder ...rather i need to protect the whole drive. Please suggest.

The included software can't encrypt the whole drive.
1) Use a different, third-party encryption software.
2) Put all the data you want to encrypt into that one folder, then encrypt it.
