Posting from a windows boot in VMWare Fusion to say that Drive Manager doesn't see my mac formatted disk. Any suggestions. Someone said it wouldn't matter but apparently it does.

Tried editing pmset in terminal - had to create an admin account with root priveleges to do so - set value at 30, 10 & 0 none of these had any effect

I believe that it's the Seagate's firmware that needs adjusting rather than any setting within OS X

Has any one tried installing the software that comes with the drive?

for the freeagent desktop install is Here this is the mac software

for the pro you have to contact support.

once you have the software installed and it can see the drive, set the put drives to sleep when possible in the energy saver in system prefs.

have you actually been following the thread at all? If so you would have known that was the first thing everyone tried yet the mac version of the program lacks what the PC version has.

What version of the Disk Manager do you have?
- you can see this in about disk manager

I have version 1.0.15

v1.0.14 is what installs when i run the installer from the link supplied - where did you get 1.0.15 from?
