Restored System - Duplicating Backup Folders

I had an internal Hard Drive failure and had to restore my system from scratch.

I used Seagate backup to back-up my documents and PST files.  I then dragged them back to the restored system manually since the "restore" option didn't appear (I know - not an issue here, I already read the other threads on that).

The problem I have is that the Seagate Backup software has created another directory to start backing up this "new" system and is not referencing the "old" back-up data, which has filled the hard drive.

Is there any way to tell the back-up software (in an *.ini or other file maybe?) to use an existing back-up set for comparison and not to create a new back-up set?

No, I do not think there is a way to do that specific action.

Sorry about that.

Give a hoot. Backup your data on a second storage media.
