Hello geeks,

I bought Free Agent Go 250 GB 6 months ago... and have been using to back up my important files  and has rescued many a times when system abruptly crashed, now agony is that the Life Save is dead .......    .

I dont know what went wrong.. its neither physically damaged. Whenever connected to system, system recognizes ext Hard disc  and shows up in My computer... but when clicked to Open it  .. gives weired message saying " G:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreachable".  

Please help me to recover my data...... share if you know any tools to recover data..........

Please guys...... I can't afford to loose data !!

Try a SMART diagnostic.

HD Sentinel (DOS / Windows / Linux):

Then examine your drive using CHKDSK in read-only mode.

Before unleashing any data recovery software on your file system, I would clone your drive and then work on the clone.

Your suggestion sparked an idea in mind and found the right software for my disc problem. I managed to extract required data from Hard Disc even though the disc was not usable.   Nevertheless, I got it replaced with new one.

BTW... Software resuced me was "Final Data Enterprise v2.0" !! (Search torrent for "All in One Top 5 Data Recovery Apps (5-in-1) " )
