I just got the freeagent pro classic and am running it through usb 2.0 and when i plugged it in, it showed as a 91.9gb partition named "HOPPY LABEL". I know this is just one of 4 partitions because disk management recognizes 4 partitions. Anyways, it seems this partition is totally empty. As well, the installation software seems totally nonexistant.
I also cannot restart with this thing plugged in or it will stall at the bios page and I will need to hardboot with it not plugged in.
I tried using a different usb slot and that didn't help. I messaged seagate and told them to send me a copy of the software and gave them my serial #. They should get back to me in 24hrs (assuming they aren't BSing like the majority of customer service depts).
Also, this partition is set to fat32.
How can I get access to all of the hard drive space and get this software to install?
I also plan to use ntfs, not fat32.

Hmm i deleted all the partitions and made a new one. Now I got the one full-sized partition. However, this required formatting. I'm assuming this means I lost all of the install software.
I'm assuming there was some useful stuff in there. I guess I'll just wait till I get a copy of the software.
