Seagate FreeAgent request system restart

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I am using FreeAgent Go 5oo GB , when I try safely remove FreeAgent Go always show the error massage " Seagate FreeAgent Go USB device can not be uninstalled right now because the system request system restart "

Please note that this error massage occur everytime I try to eject the device.

I have already tried

1. check  " don't remove file to the recycle bin, remove file immediately when delete" in the recycle bin.

2. disable write caching on the device in devive property "policy" tab.

3. using third party sync.exe to flushes disk buffers together with HotSwap!.exe yet still shown the same error massage.

please suggest the appropriate way to safely remove the device and I would appreciate all advise.

Re: Seagate FreeAgent request system restart

You might be able to go into it's properties page and simply set it up for quick removal, then you shouldn't need to worry about instructing it to get off, just be sure it's spun down at the time and not reading.
