Seagate Manager

I'm more than a little frsutrated.  I have two Freeagent 2.0GB drives connected to the same computer.  One has 1.4 GB of data.

Initially, I wanted to use Seagate Manager to back up the data drive to the other drive.  But after it's finished, when I looked at the second drive under properties, it's still practically empty, causing me to think it didn't back up the data (ie. if 1.4GB of data is backed up, wouldn't both drives be 1.4GB in size)?

So  I switched to Seagate Manager's Sync function to duplicate the data on both drives and keep them synced automatically.  But the help files read like I need to sync between computers (disconnect the hard drive and connect it to another computer).

What I want to do seems so slmple.  Why isn't it?

Re: Seagate Manager

Where did the files you're trying to copy to both externals originate from, your computer's internal hard drive or one of the externals?

If the data is stored on the first external, you can set up a custom backup. To get help for this it would be best to contact technical support for your region:

Give a hoot. Backup your data on a second storage media.
