Some data missing from hard Drive

I'm using a FreeAgent Go 160GB external hard drive, and some data appears to be missing, or is not visible.

I mainly use folder synch - and all that appears fine, but I had other documents/photos etc saved in the drive, that are no longer showing.

Also, when I look at "used space" in Explorer - it shows 25 GB used, but when I open the External drive (selecing all folders etc), it only shows about 10GB

I'm tried adjusting the folder view - to show all hidden files etc - and it doesn't help. AFAIK, there are no partitions on the drive.

Please help!

Re: Some data missing from hard Drive

Test it by installing HD Sentinal on your C drive, if the health is bad it would seem bad sectors are eating your files, or becoming unreadable as such, you should back up what you can recover and RMA it as it's only going to get worse, if Sentinal says it's healthy then it's another issue.
