All I really want is some pictures and my outlook contacts, but it wont open......
Vista says it doesn't know a BKF. File is? hard to imagine why a windows file wouldn't be known to vista!

Hi,
That looks like a microsoft backup file. Unfortunately this is something that should be asked from the os vendor as there are no settings on a hard disk device to handle file types.
