The internal USB connection of the Seagate Freeagent broke..

Hi there,

The internal USB connection of my Seagate 500gb Freeagent broke, I rarely use the actual unit. The actual plug piece has internally broken, I have no idea how to either get the unit fixed or even access the data. Anyone have any suggestions? I can't be the only one that this has happened too, can I? Im really stuck with this one...

Search google for "opening Freeagent case". Check YouTube also. Thermaltakes makes a dock that you can place a bare SATA 3.5" or 2.5" into to use. Warranty will be void, but you should have your data.
