Anyone able to help me out here?
Malwarebytes flagged 2 items as trojans (Trojan.Perflog) and deleted them, both off my 1TB hardive ![]()
Files deleted were :
g:\seagate sync\vol\my documents\backup\WRAR300.EXE
g:\backup\WRAR.EXE
My PC is no longer able to recognise the USB device.
I am using a Seagate Freeagent 1000GB Desktop harddrive 9ZC2AG-500.
I thought Malwarebytes was only going to quarentine them and hit ok.
Cheers
Chris

Use a rear port on the PC, if that doesn't work, re-boot with it connected, if that doesn't work check the cable isn't twisted and fully inserted both ends and boot again.

Thanks for the response, i tried but to no luck.
After some time i found a link in the downloads section of this site for when software has been deleted from the seagate drive, I downloaded and followed the steps and did a restart and all is well![]()
Cheers

That was most likely a hibernating usb driver that caused that, glad you got it working again ok.
