Not sure about the FreeAgent GO, but none of the software works with the FreeAgent Desk on Vista Ultimate64.
You can manually back up the hard drive, but IMO that kind of defeats the purpose.
Very frustrating, as 25% of all vista sales are now 64 bit and I have 2 64 bit machines in my house.
Any news when software will be produced which works?

I also was disappointed when I hooked my new 1500 gig FreeAgent Extreme to my under $600 HP Laptop and found out that the Manager software won't run 64 bit Vista. So, I don't consider the problem solved until a 64 bit version is released.
How long is that likely to take?

I ALSO WAS FOOLED BY THE BOXS SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS...WINDOWS VISTA...NO MENTION OF 32 BIT ONLY.
BUT WHAT SHOULD WE REALLY EXPECT...IT'S MADE IN CHINA.
THIS IS THE LAST PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY FROM SEAGATE

Well, add me to the list of suckers who bought a Seagate product whose packaging said it supported Windows Vista. Who'd a thunk they only meant 32-bit and not 64-bit... especially since they didn't specify which version they supported in their packaging. ie... if you name a particular product line which has multiple versions, and you don't specify ANY particular version, you are implying that you support ALL versions of that product line.
Seems to me there might be grounds for misrepresentation here... not that I condone legal action as a first course, but in light of their cavalier attitude towards non-support of 64-bit, it might make them sit up and take notice.
