cant create a Custom Backup

Hi

I have a Seagate FreeAgent Desktop Backup Drive Type 6RY3D3ZY, and am running Windows XP

My problem is I cannot create/perform a CUSTOM BACKUP.

The drive is happy to perform a SIMPLE BACKUP DAILY, but whilst I can create and name a custom backup plan, select and save folders and files, the plan is not executed and does not appear in BACKUP PLAN..........

Can anyone HELP please

Many thanks

Re: cant create a Custom Backup

Try un-installing the program and a re-install or switch to Diskwizard.

Re: cant create a Custom Backup

Uninstalling then reinstalling might help, however, you might keep in mind that you can still create a "customized" backup even if you use the simple backup.

The simple backup creates a plan for you, yes, but you can always go in and edit it to set it up just like you would the customized plan. It has ALL the same windows and options as the simple backup so you can still adjust it the way you would like.

Hope that helps :smileyvery-happy:

To all users: If your data is stored ONLY on an external hard drive, then it is NOT a backup. A BACKUP is having the data stored in TWO or MORE locations. If it is only in ONE location, you don't have a backup at all. If the data is important to you, then have it stored in multiple locations to prevent data loss.
