opening my ext H/D getting into my files

When I goto My Computer and try to open my free agent desk ext h/d       It will only open by right clicking and then clicking open           It won't open by double clicking    any ideas ???????     ps i'm running Vista

Run checkdisk on it at first.

Is there an AUTORUN.INF file in the root directory of your FreeAgent drive? Note that it may be hidden.

Is the Seagate Manager task running?
