Been using a FreeAgent Go with a Sony running XP. No problems. Moved many of the files to a Gateway running Vista (32 bit) using the Free Agent. Created a new BAckup Plan for the Gateway. Ran it manually. Seagate Manager reported "All files have been backed up," but it didn't actually back up any files. In the Seagate Backup folder on the FreeAgent there is a Gateway subfolder, and in that there is a small text file and a History subfolder. But in the Gateway subfolder there is no C subfolder, and the files to be backed up are not there.
The drive is being recognized, and I can copy files to it. I should be able to back up using a batch file running XCopy, but I'd like to do it with Seagate Manager. Any suggestions?

Should just be a case of selecting what you want backed up in Seagate manager, drive must be connected when you configure manager btw.

Thanks. I thought I had done just what you said, but I tried it again tonight, and suddenly it is working.
