I installed seagate manager for the first time from my free agent go hard drive 500, however there is a serious problem with its "seagate free go service.exe", it use 100% of my cpu. So I can't use it. also no changes after uninstall/insatall process. There is someone who got the same thing! any solution!
thanks

What product do you have? FreeAgent? Onetouch? what versions?
Disable any anti-virus, firewall or anti-spy ware applications on startup, reboot and check the service again.
With anti-ware disabled: if problem persists disable all background and startup applications except seagate manager service
-refer too this link to do this: Disable Startup Items XP/Vista

I found the solution by deleting all cache files and reinstalling program from "my external hard drive" not from a copy program in my internal hard drive.
So now I can use seagate manager happily
tnx for your help
