i have looked at alot of info on this issue, both here in the seagate community and others and still am not sure what i should do...
i would like to use my 500gb seagate portable as a external hard drive to store movies, etc... on my PS3. when i first pluged it in the ps3 did not reconize the drive at all. i do know about the whole "hard drive has to be formated to FAT32" but i just dont know to how to go about doing this... i did see one way of going through the command prompte and another going through the "seagate disk-manager"
1.can anybody give me a step by step on how to do this and the best way in wich i will still be able to use all 500gb or so?
2.what size is the HD in side the case?
3.is it a 2.5?
4.even thought the warrenty would be shot could i dismantle the case and use the HD in my ps3 since it takes a 2.5in seagate HD?
please i need a strate forward insite on what i should do...
thank you for you help

ok after some investigating i did find that the seagate disk wiz did the trick. i hope that this post will find helpfull to others. i was able to use all 500gb (or 458gb after formating) it turns out the disk wiz was vary easy to use once you took a real good look around.
thank for the help
