To all who have this problem with slideshow freezing.
Does any of the picture file names hase timestamp in it? For example, pictures that were transfered from camera might have timestamp embedded in the file names? if that's the case, then see here
It seems the FAT+ 2.20 has some problem with file names that contain special characters such as ":"

None of my pictures has a timestamp within the filename. None of my pics has a ":" or a ";" included in the filename.
All my pictures are named IMGPxxxx.jpg
If the timestamp within the exif-data was the problem.... i would never remove the exif data in all my pictures (more than 6000).
I'm happy using the 1.55 version (US-version) to show the slideshow.

I'd recommend staying with 1.55. FW 2.20 obviously introduced new bugs. It did fix some old bugs, but if you have not run into them (meaning you've never used a feature that was not working because of the bugs), then there is no need to upgrade. There is no new feature added in 2.20.

I, too am having this ver 2.2 slideshow problem - - - I will be trying to go to ver 1.55 . . . . but I was able to have some success with 2.2 by resizing some of my photo files to around 100K each and then selecting 10 to 30 seconds between each slideshow transition . . . . the show would then play without freezing. So, the conclusion may be that the problem has to do with file size & speed of required screen display. End

Is any1 aware of when the next FW update is due?
I just hope they fix this problem in the next FW update. It's very embarassing for me as, having gifted FAT+ to a dear relative primarily for browsing thru his pics, it does not work for him! ![]()
Also i understand from reading this thread that FW 1.55 did not have this bug. Can any1 post me a link to FW 1.55?
Thks

For APAC the link to the FW older than 2.20 seems to be 1.45 (not 1.55). Any idea where i can find the 1.55 for APAC? tHKS

Oh, you are after APAC. In that same section you will see there is no 1.55 for APAC, the previous APAC is 1.45 and I am not sure if you can downgrade from 2.20 to 1.45.
