Hi

Just set up my FAT+.

Everything is fine running Movies via HDMI and Sound via Optical.

However I have the Optical connection coming Out of the FAT+ and In to my AV Receiver.

The receiver (Yamaha) doesn't state Dolby Digital on the unit itself when a movie (with Dolby Digital) plays but it is definately sending surround sound to my 5.1 set up.

Has anyone got any thoughts on this. Its not a deal breaker by any means but as a purist like so many of us are it would be nice for my AV receiver to simply ackowledge the Dolby signal as it does so quickly with PS3, XBox 360 and SKYHDi.

Set the sound to S/PDF RAW. Works great with my Pioneer receiver. My AV shows that it is getting 5 channels.
