I had auto updates turned off for several reasons
- Updates after 1.45 were not reversable
- Seagate releases buggy updates
- Seagate's support and responsiveness here stinks (witness: a user had to discover how to adjust subtitles. Where was Alan? Hmmm?)
- I wanted to CHOOSE when to take an update.
But then my FAT+ locked up. I had to pull the power plug to reset it. Guess what? The auto-update reverted to ON without my knowledge and the *&^%$#! 1.55 was installed on my device.
I really despise sloppy, arrogant companies. Seagate has lost any good will I ever had for them.
