congratulations that YOUR 2.20 is working fine.

Mine's not.

So please don't take your own opinion as the single truth.

There is a problem with the slideshow, in the EMEA as well as in the us-Version.

Not everything is working fine.

After downgrading from european Version 2.20 to us-version 1.55 no mor problems with freezes in slideshows.

My menus are still german, all functions work well. Music is playing beautifully via my network, fotos are shown continuous and brillant.

European version 2.20 is buggy and brings no advantage for people like me, who doesn't like videos and films, just photos.

So i am happy with the result of the downgrade. And i turned off the update function. No more firmware-updates for this asset ever.

Glad your Theater+ is working.  There are so many possible configurations that it is hard to test for them all.  I don't connect to a network.  I use a 320 G Freeagent Go USB drive.  I connect to Sony TV via HDMI.  The fact remains that 2.2 with this configeration causes slideshow freeze and 1.55 doesn't as you discovered.  Perhaps 2.2 works with other configerations.  2.2 did include an HDMI change I believe.  Anyway, glad both of our units are working!

You are not able to analyze a problem in the correct way and to help other users in this forum and also in the german forum.

AGAIN THE 2.20 EMEA VERSION IS NOT BUGGY (regarding the problems you have) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's working for other users if the way to upgrade the unit is identical.

Perhaps you can answer my questions in the other thread that your feedback helps a little bit....

Deine Fehler sind von keinem anderen nachzuvollziehen, der die EMEA-Version drauf hat. Lies doch mal gefälligst im Hifi-Forum nach und heul hier nicht ständig herum, wie schlecht alles ist.

Hör endlich mal auf mit deinem überflüssigen Besserwissergehabe.

Wenn eine undefinierte Anzahl von Personen Probleme haben, ist das ein Hinweis darauf, dass die Installation der 2.20 ein Glücksspiel ist. Insofern ist die Version 2.20 fehlerhaft. Auch wenn DEINE Installtion läuft, andere laufen eben nicht und niemand bisher hat den Grund gefunden. Ich habe sogar noch die Anschlussart analysiert und getestet. Aber auch Deine Anschlussart (YUV) hat bei mir keine Besserung gebracht. Der Fehler ist auch in der Version für Amerika und Canada aufgetreten. Es gibt mehr als nur meinen Fall.

Jetzt komm Du mir nicht mit analysieren. Du bist nicht der Heiland von Seagate.

Fakt ist, dass der Fehler nach dem Zurück auf die 1.55 weg ist.

Fakt ist, dass sich hier viele über die 2.20 nicht gerade positiv äussern.

Fakt ist, dass Dein Genöle nervt. Und deshalb werde ich mich auch nicht in einem anderen Forum anmelden, nur um Deine Jubelschreie dort auch noch lesen zu müssen.

Wenn sogar der Support die Probleme kennt und den Garantie- und Austauschprozess anbietet, dann solltest Du sehr vorsichtig sein, wenn DU mir Ignoranz unterstellst.

Thanks for "analyzing" the different connection types HDMI and YUV which did't influence the slide show function. Great work

hallo leute dies ist mein erstes posting, ich hoffe das auch welche aus der deutschen ecke mitlesen, weil mein englisch nicht so gut ist

also eigentlich ist mein problem ganz einfach erklärt.

seit ich auf die version 2.20 ein update online gemacht habe kann ich keine filme mehr abspielen.

man kann sie zwar auflisten und auch ansehen, jedoch gibt es kein abspielen mehr.

eventuell noch jemand mit diesem problem?

Unfortunatly for me it made things worse too, I thought by now some major bugs would get worked out. It's sad, this device has very good potential just needs good coders.
