In yours firmware fatplus-1.45-emea-pmp2a the sound on an optical output if to customise on SPDIF/RAW, in the Internet applications, except the radio Internet does not work. Hello Playdude

I have only just purchased a FAT+ (APAC ie Australian)  and I have installed the latest firmware from seagate  -  A few questions (apologies if these questions have already been asked)

Are there any known issues with applying your latest mod (i am keen to be able to implement the SAMBA part of your mod )

Are there guides to applying/installing your latest mod? if so where.

If for some reason I wished to go back to the Seagate firmware is this still possible?  ( i have turned the automatic firmware update feature off)

If you just installed the lastest firmware (1.55) then you can't rollback.  So the mod firmware will do you no good and there won't be a mod for the new firmware because it has been encrypted.

If you are not happy about locking firmware 1.55 and not being able to rollback , pls show your support to this petition

Hi Tinwable... erm well I just downloaded the latest APAC Firmware 1.45 pmp2a and applied/ installed it.    Works a treat.    I believed that when i turned my FAT+ on yesterday for the first time it asked me to if i wanted to download and install the latest firmware from seagate - which i did.  The latest firmware that i can see on seagate's website is 1.45   FAT+_FIRM_APAC_1.45.zip.

Wouldn't doing a cold upgrade allow it to reload an earlier version?   (or am i missing something here?)

Edit:  just checked the US has version 1.55 - the APAC latest version is still 1.45 on the seagate website

1.55 FW you can't rollback.  1.45 FW you can rollback.  The Cold Method is the only way you could rollback anyway.  Also, since Netflix is only availble on the US version, I don't believe that if you have APAC or EMEA versions you don't have to worry about the 1.55 FW.

I'm running fatplus-1.45-us-pmp2a and it seems to be crashing every couple hours - can someone tell me where the system log file is so I can try to figure out what's going on?  Doesn't seem to be in /var/log....

playdude, I would seriously like to test your Fatplus-1.45-us-pmp1b but my concern is if I do a ColdBoot what do I go back to

if it doesn't work? I am currently running on 1.26 but do not have a file for that version. Is the original 1.45 version available

anywhere to download in case I need to use it for a coldboot? What do you suggest?
