FAT+ USB Original GO drives, GO Flex drives, and other USB drives

[ Edited ]

Answers to questions regarding the Seagate GO drives.

- The GO Flex drives won't fit into the FAT+ bay. They are intended for the GO Flex TV. They can only be plugged in the other USB ports with a cable, just like any other USB drives.

- The Seagate Free Agent GO drives (orgiginal model) will fit into the bay. The 1TB GO drive will fit, but the top will be above the FAT+ surface (it's OK to use it like that). Other sizes like 250GB, 320GB, and 500GB are thinner, and will fit inside the bay. The model sizes that have least problem are 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB original GO drives. Other odd size models such as 320GB, 640GB, or 750GB GO drives were found to be problem-prone when used witth the FAT+.

- Never put the FAT+ cover on while the GO drive is inside the bay. The heat will cause the drive to mal-function eventually.

Re: FAT+ USB Original GO drives, GO Flex drives, and other USB drives

Thanks for spelling this out. I actually bought the go flex drive this week and took it back and got the 1tb go drive. By the way officemax has them on sell for $89 if anyone is in the market.
