My FAT+ gets turned on when I push the menu button on my cable remote and it also turns on when I push buttons on my tv remote. I have to turn my FAT+ backwards on the shelf just so it doesn't turn on all the time. It's getting annoying!!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to keep turning my FAT+ around on the shelf just to use it.
I have a Toshiba TV and a Motorola cable box.
Thanks

I started a thread on this already.

What I do is set down the FAT+ remote in front of the IR receiver on the FAT+. Not a solution but it's a workaround for now.

This might sound crazy , but I read somewhere that to solve the interference of an IR on a different device , stick a transparent protector on the IR window of the device , in that case place a transparent protector (think one thou) on the IR receiving port of the FAT+ and give it a go.
Call me old, but I don't remember the rational behind this solution ... Anyways give it a go and post back ...

What is a transparent protector? Is it the kind of thing that would come on the screen of say, a new cell phone, that you peel off when you unpack it?
If so, what would that do? Filter?
The IR of our FAT+ remote is weak as it is.
I'll try it if I come across such a plastic protector.

I started putting the remote in front of the FAT+. It's worked so far. Actually not a bad idea. When I can find some transparent film I'm going to try that.
Thanks for the help.
