Just bought my FAT+ a couple of days ago. My Mac does not show up in Network or Media Servers under Devices. I tried upgraded to the latest firmware. That didn't fix it. I thought this thing was supposed to be plug and play. Pretty disappointed.
Called Seagate tech support. They were worthless.
Anyone have an idea why FAT+ wouldn't recognize my Mac so that I can stream media file to it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kevin,
I had the same problem... I just spoke 3 times with technical support guys and at the end they say to me that I must upgrade my 1.26 fw, also if no 1.27 or higher is released, to solve the problem. I'll call again tomorrow to have answers. I just test using a "media center" application running on my mac (is named playback) and with this "enhancement" the FAT+ recognize under media server my files on mac. I've 2 laptop, one with macos 10.5.x and one with 10.6.x, on all is switched on document sharing with all options (smb, ftp and afp). Any other have same issues?

The 1.45 FW does the trick for me. (Using EyeConnect as my Media Server.)
