Cheers for the extra options.
1.26 downloaded okay, but then wouldn't open. said he file path was invalid. I tried downloading again and naming it diff but still no luck. the file size was only a couple of megs so that may have something to do with it.
1.27 i updated to the system, but still the same problem. made sure that i'd deleted the theatre folder, but still no good.
i looked at trying the US FW, but cd only see v1.55. i've read that once installed you can't revert to earlier versions, so i'm hesitant to try this, especially if it voids my ability to return the thing. any thoughts?
I also tried 1.45 EMEA, the eurasion version, but that kept resetting too.
sigh.
i've sent he support guys another bump, but am becoming increasingly resigned.
anyhoo, still willing to try anything else which may work.

I'm bettin' that hard drive is the problem not the FAT+ or the Go Flex TV. The drive may be just fine but there might be a problem on the board in the Go Drive case. I just had a go drive 320gb that could only be seen on WindowZ 7 machine. But even on the W-7 box the drive was flakey. My XP machine would not find it. Took the drive out of the go case and connected it to an external USB drive case and it's working great on both machines. Funny thing was, the FAT+ didn't have a problem with it. Go figure. Pun intended
