I have an APAC unit :
1. anybody considering an APAC mod version?
2. what is involved in creating it - in case no interest in 1.
3. what is the impact/negative aspect of using EMEA or US on my APAC unit?
Must be more APAC users out there ;-)
Cheers

hi bodhi,
I am back. I don't know if you or anyone has this problem. When i play a video on network from my pc, and when it ends and starts playing next video on a same folder i get no sound then , i stop the video and play again then it will give me sound. But when i play from harddrive that is attached directly to FAT i do not get that problem. I wonder if its only me or everyone has that problem.
It sounds like an old firmware bug that has resurfaced :-) especially with AVI video files playing through network. I never plays videos that way so don't know if I have this problem or not.

Problem i get with MP4 files. I am not sure about AVI files. As far as i remember, I never had this problem when i was using Factory 2.23 firmware. Well , i use my harddrive now to play all files so its not bothering me. And i am not going back to Factory firmware again
One more thing, whats the transfer rate you typically get when transfer files to or from harddrive to PC over the wire or wireless. I have wireless N on my laptop and FAT+ connected directly to ethernet port. I get between 4-5MBps when downloading from harddrive to PC. I have wireless N router speed up to 108Mbps.

Hello. 1. When i trying to decrypt squash images in mod 2.23 I getting error on it. I'm using passphrase from you fatwfutils in first page:
# openssl enc -d -aes-128-ecb -k C27F661757853E8356F3835EC4D653D3 -in squashfs1.img.aes -out s1.img
bad magic number
How can i open this images?
2. When device suspends by pushing power button on remote it kills all processes, and when waked up it not run automatically - autorun.sh is not executed. How can I patch RootApp that it execute hmm for example rc.suspend and rc.wakeup?

4-5 MBps over wireless N is pretty good.

Hello everyone, and thanks for helping me get my Theater+ working with expected capabilities!
I want to inform everyone if they fell anything is wrong to just downgrade your firmware to 1.55, than to 2.20 and finally to the 2.23 mod with the given instructions.
I finally ended up doing this twice today, successfully completing the process on the second attempt.
I understand this downgrade has been brought up, however I felt it important to reiterrate it so that others do not become discouraged.

PS-bodhi, what about starting a new thread with binpack 1.3 and binpack 1.3.1 merged akready with instructions starting at upgrading at 2.2. If you want help with, I will be glad to, as I fell a little indebted to you.

Kick4U, thhanks for the offer!
I was thinking about not just consolidating the binpack, but perhaps just creating a tarball from my installtion at /usr/local/etc (about 40MB) so that it can be untar by users without having to go through tedious installation steps. Perhaps now is the time to do it (it's the end of line for the FAT+), so it will be a final binpack release in a tarball.

New post up for Mod 2.23 and binpack installation. I've requested the Modertorators to make that a sticky.
