Re: Problems with the FreeAgent Go port

Hi Andz,

If you click on the users name, their profile page has a link on the right side to "Send this user a private message". I have a setting that emails me when a user PMs me, otherwise if I am browsing anonymously (without logging in which I do frequently unless I want to post) I would never see it.  Even if you are logged in it's just a little mail box in the corner which really isn't eye catching.  The forums have alot to be desired here with regards to communications like that.

Maybe upload the file like Bodhi requested a number of posts back, then people don't need to keep asking for this.

- Please search the forums first and remember, these are COMMUNITY forums so don't expect Seagate techs to trot out some new firmware update because you don't like something. To be honest, they don't even visit these forums. Be nice, verbose, and mindful.
- There are sticky threads that can also answer many of your questions
- Reinstall firmware with the COLD METHOD

Re: Problems with the FreeAgent Go port

If there is someone still around that can send me the 1.00.17 firmware I would appreciate it.

I can host files on my personal web server to support the distribution effort.

By the way I have the "external works, dock doesn't work" problem with a GO 640GB. I have tested this drive on low power USB ports and can assure that this drive is a low power device. So from my testing I would conclude that available power on the dock is likely not a problem. Couldn't get power readings, so I don't have amp values to post, but it would be lower than .5A or 500mA. I did hear the drive spin up and can hear it spinning while in the dock.

Thanks.
