I just have a quick question. I do not currently own the Theater+, but I am on the verge of purchasing it. All the video features sound great, but I'm more interested in using it as a network storage device. I can't really find much information when it comes to this, though. Here's my questions: does the Theater+ allow you to store non-media files on it? I'm talking .RARs, .ZIPS, archived files, ISOs, etc. Also, what file system does it use? I own an older external HD that can only support FAT32 -- since most of the files I'm looking to backup are over 4 gigs, the file system simply won't allow it. Will this be an issue with the Theater+?
Anyway, thanks in advance. Happy holidays.

You need to know a drive attached to FAT+ does not serve as a network attached storage. FAT+ can read other drives attached in the other PC's or other NAS, but drives attached to FAT+ cannot be read or written by other PC's. The attached FAT+ drives can only be read by FAT+ itself.

Thanks DoubleT, I seemed to not really answer that vital question in my followup, the FAT+ cannot act as a NAS.

There is a way to store and retrieve files from it, but it is a bit convoluted one. It supports NTFS, and linux ext2 and I think ext3, as well. However, if your primary purpose is a NAS-like media player, the WD Live (or Asus O Play) may be a far better option.
