Hi all,
I'm wondering if there's a way to get RSS feeds working with transmissionBT? There are some TV shows that I would love to have automatically download while I'm out and not have to search for the torrent everytime I was to see a new episode. Has anyone been able to do this with the FAT+?
TIA

Bonnie,
There is a tool (flexget) to use with transmission for this purpose . However, the total size of the needed software tools will be a lot larger than the available internal flash memory in the FAT+. So we'll need to move Optware to an external USB drive, and boot the FAT+ with optware directory on USB. I'll see if I can create another installation script for this.

Bonnie,
There will be 2 part installations:
- Set up Optware to run on a USB drive
- Install flexget and necessary software on Optware
1. The first part:
a. prepare a USB thumb drive (4GB or larger) with EXT3 filesystem
b. insert the USB drive to the FAT+
c. Remount the USB drive as Read/Write
d. copy current installation of optware from /usr/local/etc to /tmp/usbmounts/sda1/
e. modify or use a new autorun.sh to mount optware from the USB thumb during system start/restart
2. The second part:
Install python, python setuptools, and flexget on optware
Are you familiar enough with Linux to do 1a? do you have a Linux PC or have used a Linux Live CD on Window or Mac OSX?

Ok. Here is where I'm at :-) I've encountered a lot of problems installing flexget. Installing python, python-setuptools, and Pip was sucessful. Flexget is another story. The installation kept aborting, I've tried some workaround (expand /tmp memory, moving /tmp to USB drive,...) nothing seems to work. So I have to try this again some other time with newer version of Flexget or Pip.

Thank you for your attempts with this Bodhi! I am not at all familiar with Linux so when you do come up with a solution a step by step guide would be great ![]()

You're wellcome Bonnie! Too bad there were quite a few modded media players installation instruction, but none for the FAT+ or similar boxes. I suspect the problem is with memory and a buggy installation tool.
