Restarting issue with FreeAgent Theater+

Hello I bought FreeAgent Theater + and I pluged my WD 500gb Passport but there is a problem , when I watch movie , the device restarted after 10 or 20 minuntes , is it about indexing data ? I left the devices for 30 minutes and index was continuing and I left it 1.5 hours and when I returned the device was on but screen doesnt show anything ( same as the the situation the device is off)

I had the same issue with my unit. It would play for several minutes, then the screen would blackout and the Main Menu screen would appear.

 

This is what worked for me, so you might want to try it:

 

1. Turn off your FAT+.

2. Unplug your hard drive and plug it to your computer.

3. Erase the hidden directory that FreeAgent Theater+ creates on your hard drive (If you're using a Mac the directory's name is ".Theater". If the directory is not visible you can download freeware like "iTweax" which will allow you to see Mac hidden files).

4. Plug your hard drive back to your FAT+ and turn your FAT+ on.

 

My FAT+ stopped restarting after this. Good luck.
