I can never seem to get an answer to this. When I use PlayOn with 1.55 the shows are NEVER in the right order. In other words, when I go to play episode 1 of a series, it plays episode 15.
Will this every be fixed? Or is there a way I can fix it? I paid MONEY for PlayOn. I only bought the FAT+ because it said it worked with it. But it doesn't.
HELP ME PLEASE!!

If the correct file is not playing, this is usually (but not always the case) a symptom of a bad firmware install. You should try RE-FLASHING the firmware first & also make sure that you have updated your PlayOn to the latest release, ver. 3.0.8.1093.
If this doesn't work, & it turns out this is a bug, I can say that it has been fixed in the next release.

I recently bought the Theater+ with the current 1.55 firmware already installed on it. I also am having the same problems with playon (current version). I select a show to watch and another episode will start playing. I think It was through the Hulu TV selections that I had this problem. Would I have to reflash the firmware? The firmware was put on it as a new unit. I would really love to be able to use playon.

Don't bother re-flashing. It doesn't work. I've tried it several times. This very upsetting because no one from Seagate seems to care that Playon won't work with it. It is absolutely worthless with FAT+ because you can never play the right file.
All we can hope is that it get fixed with the next firmware update but I'm not holding my breath. No one seems to care about it.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not with the 1.55 FW. But I can say that this is not a problem with what is (as of now) the next FW release, which is due out (unless things change) in about a month.
Just a note, if you have re-flashed, but done so with the firmware you originally downloaded, then you sould download a fresh copy of the firmware, since that copy could have been corrupt.

This bug was introduced with flash version 1.55.... It has to do with UPNP A/V connection, so any application that uses this will have the problem. I get it all the time when viewing videos from Microsoft Media Player.

I just picked up a FAT+ about 2 weeks ago, and though I love it, I'm experiencing the same irritating issues with PlayOn. It's inability to play the correct episode is enormously frustrating, and I've had to go back to using my PS3 with PlayOn.
So what I'm hearing is that this is a known issue, that should be corrected with a new firmware that's already on the way? I don't suppose there's any way to beta an early firmware, is there?

The problem is recognized by Seagate and was confimed to me by a Seagate support person when I had opeded a ticket for this issue a couple of months ago.
It has to do with a bug in their list sorting algorithm. Instead of retaining the pointer to each item in the list from PlayOn (or many other source for that matter), it simply sorts the list in alphabetic order and displays it for user selection. The position in the sorted list is what is passed to the source rather then the original position of that item in that source. So unless the source list was already sorted alphabetically, you will see this issue.
According to the support person, this is one of the many bugs that are known by Seagate and will be fixed in the next firmware upgrade. That person was unable to specifiy any release date for the firmware upgrade.
