Yes i am experiencing the same problem. Unit turns on by itself, no interference with any other remote.

This isn't exclusive to the 1.55FW... this has been happening since I bought the thing.  I've tried all FW from 1.26 to 1.55.

It seems any signal from any remote will turn on my FAT+.  It's very annoying. 

I turn on my Blu-Ray player... the FAT+ turns on.  I pause a DVD... the FAT+ turns on.  I adjust the volume on my TV, and oh yes... the FAT+ turns on.

If there was some rhyme or reason to it I could understand, like a remote from a similar device or even a similar signal from a single remote... but I've tested it and I can get the thing to turn on using any button from any IR remote I have (about 10.)

Do you have any USB drive connected to the FAT+? If yes, try to unplug the drive before power it down.

I'm having this problem as well. Tried reset button, everything. I'm wondering if it's just a hardware problem with the IR sensor in the units? It seems to pick up ANY remote in the house.

To those who have this problem,

I've noticed, while experimenting with a learning universal remote a while ago, that when the FAT+ has been turned off for a long time, you can't accidentally turn it on by other remotes.

You should try this: when the FAT+ is cold (has been turned off for several hours), use any other remote controller and see if you can turn it on accidentally with that. If you can not then you have a work around: avoiding turning off the FAT+ when switching TV inputs (for example, the Harmony remote activity ususally does that). When youve done watching TV for the day, then turn it off.
