pixelated video when using 720 or 1080, but not 480

I am streaming via a UPNP Iomega Home Cloud server wired to the same gigabit switch as my brand new Goflex TV box....displaying via HDMI on a Sony Bravia TV.

If I stream any HD video file in 480, it works just fine, anything from MKV to mpeg-4 to whatever i throw at it.

If i switch the resolution to 720 or 1080, it becomes pixelated within 2 minutes of the video displaying.  it doesn't matter what file i throw at it, a full 1080 7gb mkv file or  a 1gb .mp4 file.  The higher resolution that i tell the goflex to display, the worse the pixelation gets.

I have tried different HDMI cables and different network cables.  I have even taken all other devices off of the network to make sure that no other network traffic was causing issues.  I updated to the latest firmware right away because i know that is always a good idea.

I can stream the same mp4 files to an xbox360 with no problems whatsoever.  I can stream the mkv files from my computer no problem at all over wireless at that.

any help that you all can give will be greatly appreciated.  I don't want to have to take this back and go with a different device, it plays everything that i want it to play if it would just play right.

Re: pixelated video when using 720 or 1080, but not 480

ignore this post.

i took it back and got the WD live TV and no pixelation with the same video files, same switch, same HDMI cable, same TV, same everything.

seems like the seagate just couldn't handle 1080p regardless of what the documentation says.
