My FAT+ just updated itself to 1.26
I will try to cold 'update' back down to 1.25 (perhaps1.45 if I can find it again lol)
I'll let you know how it goes, mostly I want the music displayed by album and not file name

No need to rollback to 1.25, if you have 1.26 it has been the most stable of all the releases, however you may want to re-install it using the Cold Method.
You can get the 1.26 FW (US version) HERE.
If you want 1.45 FW then you can get it HERE. However, there are some issues with this firmware when using PlayOn.
Just DO NOT upgrade to the new 1.55 FW, because once you do you can not roll it back if something goes wrong or if you don't like it.
Though, my recomended FW to install is Playdudes 1.26 mod FW which you can get HERE. This FW will allow you to Map your FAT+ connect hard drive as a network connected drive so you can drag & drop files and access your drive without disconnecting it from the FAT+. If you are using Windows 7, you can find a HOWTO HERE and also a link to get the 1.45 mod FW if you would rather use it.
If you need EMEA or APAC versions let me know & I'll post them from you.

Thanks. I like the sounds of the mapping feature of playdude's mod, so that's on the schedule for today.
I dont have Win7, but Vista Home Premuim. We'll find out if it's more like XP or 7 if the regisrty needs hacking before it will connect.

Vista should be more like 7 than XP, since 7 is built off Vista. And if I remember correctly, before I upgraded to 7, Vista's sharing was the same as 7's. If that helps any.

Upgrade went well the second time, no idea what happened the first time but I am not complaining. The sub menus are back and I can map the drive. however the drive shows as full, not allowing me to copy and paste.
I wonder if I shouldn't try to find the reg hack again and duplicate the suggested settings ...

The drive will show full, I believe this is because it reads the FAT+, not the drive itself. Does yours say something to the effect of "0 bytes free of 20 Mb". Should not matter though you should be able to drag and drop files to it.
Did you click on your FAT+ mapped drive, then click on the folder "sda1" (if you have the drive connected to the rear port of the FAT+, will be named something else if you have it connected to the front or a GO drive)? Then try to drop your files there, because that is your actual drive, you can not just drop the files to the root (which is actually the FAT+) of your mapped drive.

Nope, still no open space. It shows all drive space as used even though it is really less than 10%. When trying to drap and drop files I get a pop-up saying there are 0kbs free.
What if i map the drive to \\IP_Address\Theaterplus\sda1\movies (where my movies are)
sda1 is a 500gb Go Drive if that matters, though I dont know whay it would?
permissions on sda1 are 'special' for 'everyone' and attributes are 'read only'.
